Videos highlight infection control in nutrition and food services and in the pharmacy

NC SPICE recently produced two videos that highlight infection control procedures in the pharmacy and nutrition services. The two videos are being used to support the IC Part 2: The Infection Preventionist as an Environmentalist curriculum. The videos are also available for viewing at no cost. UNC Health Care Associate Director of Hospital Epidemiology, Lisa Teal, RN, BSN, CIC, discusses infection control concerns with staff members in both of these settings. The videos are intended to educate IPs who are new to their role in the acute care setting, and can also serve as a good review for more experienced IPs.
