Infection Control in Long-Term Care Facilities

(Hybrid Course – In-person and Virtual Options)

March 30 – April 1, 2026

Welcome to Infection Control in Long-Term Care Facilities, March 30 – April 1, 2026. This course is a hybrid course – in-person at the Friday Center Chapel Hill, NC, and live Zoom.

In-Person Attendees:  We start promptly at 8 am each day.

Virtual Attendees:  Please log into Zoom later than 7:45 am.

  • A week before the course, you will receive an email asking you to register for the IC in LTCFs Zoom webinar. After you register for the Zoom webinar, you will receive a confirmation email with your unique link. Use this same link to join the webinar each day.
  • You must log in and out as a single individual on your device each day.
  • It is not necessary to log out for lunch or breaks.
  • It is expected that virtual attendees will attend the course in its entirety – just like in-person attendees.
  • Do not use your mobile phone to attend the course. We cannot track attendance from a mobile phone. You will not receive credit if you access the course from your mobile phone.

Evaluation / Certificate. Upon course completion and verification of attendance, course completers will receive an email with a link to the course evaluation. Allow a week for the email to come.

When the evaluation is completed, you will be automatically redirected to your course completion certificate.

You have 60 days to obtain your course completion certificate by completing the course evaluation. After 60 days, anyone needing a copy of their course completion certificate will be required to pay $30 by credit card to obtain a replacement certificate.

Certificate: The SPICE course completion certificate verifies that you have completed the infection control course required by the State of North Carolina for persons designated to oversee the infection control program at the facility where they work. Your current or future employer may require a copy of this document.
