CIC Exam Review Course

THIS COURSE IS FULL.

Provided in 4-hour sessions over four days, this course is designed to help prepare infection prevention and control professionals to successfully pass the CIC exam and obtain the Certification in Infection Control (CIC) designation. The CIC exam and this exam review course are geared toward the professional who has had at least two years of full-time experience in infection prevention and control. The course will be a systematic review of the basic foundations of infection control as outlined on the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. website (https://www.cbic.org/OffNav/Content-Outline1.htm):

  • Identification of Infectious Disease Process
  • Surveillance and Epidemiologic Investigation
  • Data analysis and Presentation 
  • Preventing and Controlling Transmission
  • Occupational Health
  • Management and Communication
  • Education and Research
  • Environment of Care
  • Cleaning, Sterilization, Disinfection, Asepsis

In addition, sessions on Overview of the CBIC exam, Test Taking Tips and Strategies, and Practice Questions will be included.

Location: Virtual only. This course will be live-streamed to virtual attendees via Zoom.

Cost: No registration fee

Continuing Education Credit: TBA

Course Completion: To receive the Course Completion Certificate you must attend all four sessions, 8:00 to 12:30 on all four days, in their entirety. No partial credit given.

You are welcome to register and sit in on as many sessions as you like, but if you have not attended all sessions, you will not receive a course completion certificate or CE.
